I probably should have named one of my kids Hope. It means a lot to me and has proved important throughout my life so far.
Sometimes when life is challenging all we have left is hope. A bucket of hope, if you’re lucky.
When life is good, keep believing in hope. When life gives you an opportunity, thank God for it, but also put a little bit of the hope you have back into your hope bucket. Say to yourself, I hoped for this, and it came true. Over time, the hope bucket will be full because you’ve believed in hope for so long.
I kind of think if you’ve been filling your hope bucket over time, it will be ready for you to use it when you need it most.
Keep thinking a better day will come, the job you’ve been longing for will become an opportunity, the person you’ve always wanted to meet will cross your path, and one day you will fit into your favorite jeans again. Every woman’s hope!
Sure, some might call it Pollyanna thinking. Or the fact that I’m even talking about this is Snowflake behavior. But no one can deny that spring always comes after the snowflakes. Guaranteed. And Pollyanna’s famous- even you know her name. I have a lot of respect for hope.
